Smuggling in Vermica, Dogan confiscated 145kg of tobacco coming from Albania

Kosovo customs has announced that today at the border checkpoint in Vmica a case of attempted smoking smuggling has been uncovered.

During routine inspections, Customs officials have banned a license vehicle of the Republic of Albania for routine control, following the customs official's question about possible statements, the driver of the vehicle has responded negatively.

Later, it is selected for a deeper control under the assistance of the Kosovo Police.

“Controll has discovered undeclared goods, respectively raw tobacco with a weight of 145.00 Kg, divided into 290 packages, each package weighing 0.050 Kg. As a result, it has been ruled against Customs for violating KDAK's Article 250. The goods have been confiscated until the anti-evasive procedure started for the person responsible”, the announcement said.
