Indictees Sadik Ymer and Shemsie Mani have been sentenced to 3 months in prison in connection with corruption charges. But that sentence, with the consent of the accused, was fined in the amount of 500 euros (each separately).

Sadik Ymer, in the quality of Chief of the Education Directorate in the Shtrpce municipality and Shemsie Mani, in the quality of primary school principal “Razim Cokli” in the village of Brod in this municipality, were accused of misusing official office.

The indictment against them was announced Friday by the chairman of the Court of Justice, Victory Daci, at the Foundation Court in Ferizaj, reports “Justice Vought”.

Judge Daci said that under the trial, the three-month prison sentence for Ymer and Manin, with the consent of the accused, has been fined in many of the 500 euros each, which many accused are obliged to pay at a 30-day legal term after the court takes the formal form.

The accused have also been forced to pay procedural expenses in many of the 20 euros and 50 euros for compensation of crime victims.

Similarly, in this judicial examination of the accused Ymer and Mani have pleaded guilty to the criminal offense. But the same at the initial session, held on September 18, 2023, had been declared innocent about the prosecution.

After consulting with my lawyer, I accept guilt and am aware that I am accepting criminal work”, the accused Ymer said at Friday's session.

Even the accused Manny pleaded guilty, saying that the goal was good but the wrong way.

“I plead guilty as we are consulting the lawyer, the goal has been good but the path has been wrong”, accused Man said.

Prosecutor Rasim Maloku stated that this admission of guilt has been done in a voluntary and consistent manner of evidence found in the subject's paperwork.

Also, the defenders of the accused, lawyers Avni Ibrahimi and Shretreta Hasani, have supported the plea of their defenders and subsequently approved by the Daci judge.

In the final address, prosecutor Maloku stated that the prosecution estimates that the accused's actions have consumed elements of criminal acts as mentioned in the indictment.

The trial suggests that the same man plead guilty and pronounce a criminal sanctions that would have been attributed to the degree of criminal responsibility with which the purpose of the” sentence would be achieved, prosecutor Maloku said.

The defender of accused Ymer, lawyer Veretta Hasani, the court proposed that he take into account extenuating circumstances and pronounce a milder sentence. The lawyer's word, however, was supported by the accused Ymer.

Defender of the accused Mani, lawyer Avni Ibrahimi said that on the occasion of pronouncing criminal sanctions, courts take into account extenuating circumstances.

According to the indictment, compiled on June 24, 2023 by Ferizaj's Founding Prosecutor, it is said that during September of 2020 until February 2021, the first defendant, Sadik Ymer as head of the Directorate of Education in the Shtrepca municipality, while the second defendant Shemsy Mani, as primary school director “Ralym Kokli<1> in the village of Brod of the Shrpca municipality, in co-chair had misuseded official duties with the aim of other rich persons.

In this indictment, it is said they had not removed him from the salary list for December 2020, January and February 2021 already to the late teacher E.S. which had passed away on November 22, 2020, enabling his family to gain wealth in many thousand and 600 euros and 66 cents.
