QU The INT demands suspension of the new BQK regulation banning the dinar: Discussing Further Within Dialogue

CUINTIES have come up with one response for the new regulation of the CEC, which excludes the dinar for conducting transactions in Kosovo, expressing their concern over the impact of the regulation on Serb majority communities.

The “Embassys of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States stress that the last regulation of the Kosovo Central Bank (BKK) for cash operations, which aims to reduce counterfeit money, preserve financial stability, and increase the transparency of money flows to Kosovo, raises concerns about the impact in particular on the majority Serb communities. ”

QU The INT) has indicated that Prime Minister Kurti called for the suspension of implementation of the regulation and that this should be discussed further within the dialogue.

“After an exchange on this issue with the prime minister on Friday, the QUINT calls for the suspension of enforcement of the regulation to enable a very long transition period and for clear and effective public communication. The issue should be further discussed under the EU's relaxed Dialogue. ”
