According to the IHMK, the maximum wind speed recorded between 00 and 23:55 hours was 9.8 m/5. According to the Institute, this speed responds to the Bosphorus 5 scale, which means the average strong wind that shakes leaves, moves flags, and so on, and causes no damage.
“In the time interval from 00 to 23:55 has recorded maximum speed 9.8m/s ( 35.2km/h). (35. 2km/h), registered at 13:05. The speed of the wind recorded yesterday, 9.8m/s, responds to the scale of Beaufort 5, which means an average strong wind (small leafwoods start to shake, move flags and similar), which means that this recorded speed cannot cause any damage” - says the report of the Kosovo Hydromeorological Institute.
However, the institute has clarified that the measure takes place every five minutes, implying that within this interval, there may have been some higher speed, and the station does not register.
This IHPC report comes after yesterday the roof of the Pristina municipality building has collapsed, and as a result, a citizen who is receiving treatment at KKUKU remains seriously injured.
