The presidency office through a media communique has announced that Osman has expressed concerns about the draft association state to Lajcak.
“As far as the draft of the Association statute is concerned, the president reiterated that the only institution that can ultimately interpret the compliance of this act with the Constitution is the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, while also expressed its concerns about certain provisions of this draft, which may be challenging during practice implementation”, is said in the communique.

At the meeting, the latest developments in the dialogue process with Serbia were discussed, with President Osmani refocusing Kosovo's commitment as a constructive side in the process. The president stressed that the Brussels agreement on February 27th, 2023, and the March 18th 2023 Ohrid annex must be implemented in full.
President Osmani reiterated the need to remove European Union measures towards Kosovo, which are unfair and creates a lack of balance in dialogue. In this direction, she reiterated that Kosovo has offered organising new elections in the country's north in line with Kosovo's legal framework, while adopting administrative directives, while stressing its expectations that this right of citizens will be realised without delay and in line with the procedures and legislation in force.
At this meeting, recent achievements were welcomed as regards implementation of the energy agreement, as well as that for license plates, as steps towards normalising reports between Kosovo and Serbia.
As for the draft of the Association statute, the president reiterated that the only institution that can ultimately interpret the compliance of this act with the Constitution is the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, while also expressing its concerns about certain provisions of this draft, which may be challenging during implementation.
