In a chapter entitled “Myzogynia”, the report cites several cases of misoginist attacks on Kosovo journalists and other women active in public life in Kosovo, such as the renowned media lawyer, Ms. Kusari butterfly.
The report has cited the case of activist Rron Djindovci's comment on Mrs. The Kusari with the description “Whatfrisure”, a comment which according to the report, had sparked a lynching campaign against Mrs. Kusari.
“Women in the public arena, whether in politics, journalism or other professions, are often judged on the basis of outward appearance, hair model, clothing, weight, and so on, while their professional skills, qualifications, and capacities are often overlooked. Physical appearance attacks can occur when there are no counterarguments to their professional qualifications. Such is the comment on the Kusari butterfly, a lawyer who was criticised for her hair as she applied for one of the media issues”, the report says.
