Serbia's Interior Ministry has announced that at the border with Croatia it has arrested a suspect with the initials D.B., aged 34 after about 18kg of narcotics were found in his car. According to media reports, it has become known it is about former Kosovo MPB official Drilon Brbat, who had been arrested by the state of Kosovo over the past year under suspicion of forging documents.
In this case, Kosovo's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced to Express that the Interconnecting Office of the Republic of Kosovo in Serbia has not been informed and that it has been officially confirmed the arrest of Drilon Berbat.
MPJ has confirmed that through Ambassador Jashar in Belgrade, they have submitted requests from the Government of Serbia to confirm the eventual arrest and provide clarifications for the reasons for the arrest and the location it is being held.
The Interconnecting Office of the Republic of Kosovo in Serbia has not been informed, nor has it yet yet confirmed the arrest officially according to reports you refer to. As in earlier cases, the Interconnecting Office of the Republic of Kosovo in Belgrade through Ambassador Jashari has sent the official letter to Serbia's Interconnection Office in Kosovo, through which he has asked the Government of Serbia to confirm the eventual arrest, provide clarifications for the reasons for the arrest, and announce the country (the detention centre), where it is being held a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo”, the MPJ response reported.
Foreign Ministers say they will keep an opinion informed with news on the case that might be of interest to the media and the public
