The ministry has clarified that the process is following the right path under current public procurement legislation and that no final decision has yet been made on this issue.
The process for master-planning the Memorial complex édem Jasharı continues to move forward calmly and in line with public procurement procedures. We have found that there are no violations of the procedures and that no final decision has been made yet. ”
According to the ministry, this process has reached a screening phase by the Procuring Organisation (OSHP) that began on December 22nd, 2023.
There is no reason for alarm because the legal process for reviewing complaints is in its proper implementation and within defined legal terms,” the ministry added.
The ministry's response also includes a clarification concerning the nature of the complaint process and how the latter affects procurement procedures.
According to the MKRS, accusations of gross <x0-scale” are just claims by economic operators that failed to be assessed as winners and that these issues are in professional review by responsible institutional entities.
Furthermore, the ministry ensures citizens that actions taken during the process of developing the MMMMorial Complex “Adem Jashari” adapt to law in effect and regular administrative procedures for managing an international design competition.
In the final part of the response, the ministry explains it has been clear and transparent all the time and has kept the public informed of every step in the master-plan development process.
The ministry has noted efforts made so far to prevent any possible damage to structures within the complex, and has praised the need for quick and cautious actions by all actors involved to ensure a successful and sustainable outcome for this important historical site.
