Darko Kaevski, Macedonian deputy of the LSDM, the party that rules in the coalition with the largest Albanian party in Northern Macedonia, DUI, has turned out his party's support for the election of Talat Xhaferi prime minister of the technical government.
He praised Xhaferi in his address to the Macedonian Assembly, which he said has contributed “to a time of major challenges”.
“Xhaferi has made its contribution at a time of major challenges. State decisions for the country's future were adopted in its mandate and for the preservation of citizens' standards. With his decisions and the pro-European forces in the Parliament, in the past years we became a NATO member, after 17 years of waiting we began negotiations on EU entry”, Kaevski said.
He said that “would not allow a destructive scenario to succeed”, while predicting that VMRO- The DPMNE will lose the May 8th parliamentary elections.
The next “government will be pro-European”, he said.
After the discussion, northern Macedonia deputies are expected to elect the technical government, led by Talat Xhaferin. This government will be in office until the new government is followed with full mandate, which will emerge from the May 8th parliamentary elections.
