Democratic League of Kosovo headship member Muhamet Hamiti has commented on EU spokesman Peter Stano's statement, which says Kosovo is invited to give comments and suggestions on the draft at the table.
Hamiti said that if implemented, this document creates Serbian political-territorial autonomy in Kosovo and not simply the Association of Communities.
Don't forget the Drift-Stututation of Serb-based Majority Communist Association, which has drafted by the EU, has been handed over to the Government of Kosovo and this has acknowledged it. Kosovo is invited to provide its comments and suggestions for the draft, which is on the table”, EU spokesman Peter Stano has said today. If implemented, this document creates Serbian political-territorial autonomy in Kosovo ʹ not simply the Association of municipalities ʹ contrary to the current constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo”, Hamiti said.
The European Union says Kosovo in the past ten years has had the opportunity to present a draft proposal for formation of Association.
Now, according to EU spokesman Peter Stano, official Pristina is expected to take concrete steps.
“in this advanced phase of the process, is expected to begin soon with the establishment of the Serb majority municipalities. Kosovo is invited to give its comments and suggestions for the draft, which is on the table”, Stano has said of the REL.
He reiterated that the draft status drafted by the EU is a modern European <x0 way to resolve the sensitive issue of minority protection”.
“We expect both sides to continue talks based on this draft”, he has followed.
