European mediator for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak has made his weekly summary during his stay at the Economic Forum in Davos.
Lajcak writes from a summary of his activities each weekend, but this time he had little more to say.
Through a post in his official profile on the social Facebook network, Lajcak has said it is time for dialogue and future steps in the process.
This year's “Forum focused on the topic of rebuilding trust. During the traditional Diplomacy Dialogue in the Western Balkans, we discussed expectations and priorities in the region and in the European Union regarding enlargement. Serving as a co-modern, I shared my observation that although there is visible enthusiasm from Eastern partners, he faces scepticism from the Western Balkans. The current moment for expansion is real, but as we know, in politics, a moment is never lasting. So the main question now is whether we will be able to transform this moment into a new quality of enlargement or whether it will be lost at all. As always, Davos was shown an invaluable platform for dealing with friends, colleagues, partners and leaders from the region and beyond. Our discussions covered a spectrum of important developments envisioned this year, both within the Western Balkans and on the global scene. But after a fascinating week immersed in different prospects within the “global mind bubbles, now it's time to refocus fully in the next steps at Dialog”, Lajcak wrote.
Hookings from a snowy, yet Sunny Brusels, where I've returned after a expose week in Davos é. Not even a tradition...
