On the eve of the 25th anniversary of Recak Massacre, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has hosted a friendly meeting, Ambassador William Walker, former head of O's mission The SEU in Kosovo during the war.
Kurt has thanked the former American diplomat for his irreplaceable “contribution during wartime and the echo he gave to the Recak massacre at the international level, describing the incident in Rekak as massacre and crime against humanity”.
“Reremembered in 1998 and 1999, when Ambassador William Walker was in Kosovo at the helm of the OSCE Verifiable Mission, which had a mission to verify whether Serbian forces were acting in accordance with the October UN agreement to withdraw the armed forces and respect the” ceasefire, is said in the communique issued by the Office of the Prime Minister.
Walker, as ZKM reports, said he feels happy and proud of what Kosovo has accomplished in a short period of time, becoming one of the most democratic states in Europe. He said every time he comes to Kosovo he enjoys the changes he sees as he moves along the streets of Kosovo” according to the ZKM.
“Bashka with congratulations on long life and good health, Prime Minister Kurti reaffirmed gratitude to Ambassador Walker for his correct, concrete and so human role shown in relation to the war crimes Serbia has committed against Kosovo Albanians”, the ZKM reports.
