KFOR Commander: We are willing to respond to any kind of threat to Kosovo

KFOR commander in Kosovo, Major General Ozkan Ulutas, has declared that the peacekeeping mission in Kosovo is ready to respond to any kind of threat.

“KFOR continues to do its best to provide an impartial, secure and secure environment for the benefit of all people living in Kosovo,” said on Monday Anadolu AgencyGeneral Ozcan Ulustas.

Turkey took over command of NATO Forces in Kosovo (KFOR) last October, with Ulutas officially taking responsibility at a ceremony in the capital Pristina.

According to him, the people of Kosovo want to live in lasting peace and security.

“KFOR has offered a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo for about 25 years. We will continue our efforts to prevent escalation of tensions and I want to assure you that we are willing to respond to any threat. ” he said.

Belgrade-Pristina dialogue is the only way for lasting peace and stability for all people living in Kosovo, according to Ulusta. The commander reiterated that KFOR will continue its mission to Kosovo as long as necessary.

He also cited adding KFOR forces to the country's north.

“KFOR deployed hundreds of additional personnel in the country following increasing tension. We multiplied the reinforcement in the country's north and tripled the number of patrols, including the border region,” said Ulusta.
