The head of Kosovo's delegation for the Invisible Persons in talks with Serbia, Andy Hoti, has said they will meet on 31 January with a Serbian delegation, through which they expect to receive information about missing persons during the recent war in Kosovo.
He has indicated that part of this meeting will also be representatives from the EU.
In fact on January 31st of this year, we have an extraordinary meeting of the working group, the Kosovo delegation with Serbia, and the EU we believe will be at this meeting, and very much we are hoping to get the information or archives we have requested from Serbia. And if we take these then of course we're going to continue with other excavations, but yet in 2023 we're mostly behind excavations by the analytical reports we've received from various acts, but mostly from the International Committee on the Red Cross”, he said.
With new information from the Red Cross, Hoti says they will have more work this year.
They also have to keep going, because we have new ones from the Red Cross, and I'm hoping, I can't guarantee it, but I'm hoping we have an even bigger amount of work back in the past year, he said.
Hoti has told of Front Online locations where mortar waste will be required as soon as excavations begin.
There's also a location in Skenderaj, we've been in Prekaz, but there's now another location back in Prekaz, we've got Podujevo back, in Prizren we have to go back, and we're going to have to go back to Kamenica”, he said.
