Horvenier meets with the BQ's governor: Serbian dinar decision postponed

US Ambassador to Kosovo Jeff Hovenier has announced he has met with Kosovo Central Bank Governor Ahmet Ismaili.

In his X account, Houvenier said he reiterated the United States' concerns about the CEC's decision regarding the Serbian dinar ban.

“Today I had a productive meeting with Central Bank of Kosovo Governor Ahmet Ismaili. I reiterated US concerns about implementing the changing regulation for money operations. We demand that implementation be postponed to allow enough time for effective transition and public communication to ease the negative impact on citizens”, Hovenier said.
