“This was an important visit at an important moment to reconfirm United Kingdom support for the sovereignty, security and future of Kosovo”, Abbott wrote.

Abbott has said most of this visit is focused on meetings with state leaders and the visit Secretary Cameron has made to the troops of Great Britain that are in Kosovo within KFOR.

Ambassador Abbott, however, has said he feels happy that Cameron also had the opportunity to hear the touching testimony of missing family members as well as meeting a survivor of sexual violence during the war in Kosovo.

“He heard first hand of the importance of sustainable support for survivors and treatment of stigma, as well as the urgent need to unlock regional co-operation for missing persons to ensure families of the missing a comforting and accounting end”, Abbott wrote, Express reported.

Abbott has also mentioned Cameron's visit to the Gracanica Monastery, saying that it has discussed the importance of protecting the Serbian Orthodox Church's religious role for the Serb community in Kosovo and the vital role of religious authorities in promoting stability in all communities in Kosovo.

The British diplomat serving in Kosovo in the end has said all these meetings underline why at this difficult time globally, it must prevent the return of the conflict in the region.

All these meetings highlighted why, in such a difficult time globally, we must prevent the return of the conflict in the region. We have the responsibility to do everything we can to preserve achievements achieved through peace and dialogue. As Lord Cameron made clear at his meetings, there is no alternative to resolving unresolved issues except through dialogue and full implementation of previous agreements”, Abbott has concluded.
