Cedomir Stojkovic, the lawyer of the Serbian opposition politician, Nikola Sandulovic, has been homazed at Blerina Jashar's tomb at the “Adem Jashari” in Prekaz.
She left another message at her grave.
Hate dies. You live forever. A thousand tears for a thousand years, and millions of hopes and dreams. That start with the word "fare" ”, says the message.
Stojkovic had warned a day earlier that he would go to place flowers at the 7-year-old tomb, which was killed alongside other members of the Jashar family by the Serbian armed forces in 1998.
Stojkovic has written that after this act, he would surrender to Belgrade authorities to challenge “to show that in Serbia there is a new anti-European, anti-civilisation and vandal rule, under which any flower deployment in the graves of Albanian children is sentenced to beating and prison”.
Sandulovic was arrested and claimed to have been beaten by the Serbian Secret Service for that very reason. His arrest was said to have sparked national, racial, and religious hatred, mentioning the occasion when he had homazhed at the Jashare cemetery.
