Greece has rejected linking the Agreement in the field of defence and security between the European Union and Albania.
Greek media Ekathimerini writes that a meeting at the technical level was held in Brussels a few days ago, whose main goal was to connect a series of defence and security agreements with countries inside and outside Europe -- Canada, Japan, Ghana, Moldova, Norway and South Korea respectively -- reports Euronews.
According to Ekathmerini, Greece rejected the agreement's connection with Albania at this meeting, insisting that being a country that wants to join the EU, it should respect the legal state as a basic element.
The Greek proposal was not accepted, but the Albanian issue was not advanced, despite the very strong support of Italians, who are also Tirana's closest partner in the EU, which is regularly a source of confrontation between Rome and Athens, writes Ekathmerini.
While according to Greek media, the issue has become the Beler issue for opposing the EU.
