Fearing brand: With America's help, Kosovo is being very militarily empowered

Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has said today that continuing to arm the Kosovo Security Forces is intended to completely remove any traces of Serbia's existence from Kosovo territory.

“Declarations by some Kosovo officials let us unequivocally understand that the destruction of the Serbian people is clear, and the message is that there is no room for Serbs”, Vuciq said at a news conference following the visit to Serbia's Military Security Agency Operational Centre.

Vuciq has said that Kosovo is forming extremely powerful forces and that it is being led by America, contrary to international law and UN Resolution 1244, stressing that for this Serbia must drastically strengthen its military.

The Serbian leader said he is not allowed according to international law and the UN decision, but are not interested in this “because they can”. He confirmed that Kosovo receives the largest military aid from the US, Turkey, Germany, Great Britain, but also from Croatia.

According to him, the situation is not easy because Serbia is surrounded by the NATO alliance, whose forces are deployed even in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is not a NATO member.

“We must have a strong army, because without it we cannot exist as state”, Vuciq stressed.

He also confirmed that Kosovo's security forces have 223 armoured vehicles and that they plan to increase that number to 350.

As he has said, the irregular and illegal forces of Albanians in Kosovo should not exist at all.

The Serbian leader also said the plan is to increase the number of these armoured vehicles, but the number of personnel as well.

“Wants to increase the number for 350 armoured vehicles, they want 5,500, as they say, professional soldiers by 2027 and another 20 thousand as militias. These are their plans. No surprises for us. America commands it, America manages it, great experts, serious people do that, they'll be mentally, physically and organisationally, very, very willing. Americans and NATO are making it extremely serious and responsible”, Vuciq said.
