Kosovo police, specifically I LECU-FAST COSOVA in two separate cases has managed to arrest two wanted persons under international warrants.

As Policemen have announced, two detainees are Turkish citizens. One is sentenced in Turkey to 22 years and 6 months in prison, while the other sentenced by the same state to 10 months in prison.

“Rasti 1; By 09.01.2024, as a result of good co-operation in the middle of the unit. FASS and Police Station V ITI, about 09:30 p.m., has been detained Turkish citizen M.K., after the same resulted in the request under the international arrest warrant issued by Turkey's authorities for criminal dealing with Narcotics, sentenced in Turkey to 22 years and 6 months in prison. At the order of the competent prosecutor of the fundamental prosecution in Gjilan, the fugitive was sent to the detention for 48 hours”, the police report said.

After completing the legal procedures where the deadlines are defined, people in question are expected to be extradited to the Republic of Turkey.
