President Vjosa Osmani has hosted Central Election Commission Chairman Kreshnik Radonijqi at the meeting today.
At the meeting was discussed over preparations under way regarding the requirement for holding new elections in the north, the Presidency announced.
The “meeting was discussed in terms of preparations being made in terms of the country's new elections requirement, through the collection of 20% of the voters body signatures, as provided in the Law on Local Self-Government and Administrative Guide drafted on this issue”, the report said.
The president, according to the announcement, has expressed her belief that “The CEC, as the institution responsible for voting management, will take all right actions and within the deadlines for this process to be realised by respecting this citizens' right in line with the procedures and legislation in force”.
