Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to social networks after Talat Xhaferi became the first Albanian prime minister in northern Macedonia.
With a photo of Talat Xhaferi with Ali Ahmeti shaking hands, Rama calls this a historic moment on the way of the Albanian community.
The perfect view of this picture, according to the head of the Albanian government, is the expression of a large politician: <x0) guys love the power to be recognised by others, and men to do for others”.
“Ali Ahmeti could become overly critical within the country, because it is the right and duty of anyone in opposition to ask for more of anyone in power... But what Ali Ahmeti has done with the power to advance the rights of Albanians in the neighbouring state, and for their affirmation as equal citizens of the Republic of Northern Macedonia is a historical lecture for all of us and generations to come! And looking at the attached photo of a historic moment in the way of the Albanian community, I remembered the wise word of a great politician, “Dymies love power to be recognised by others, and men to do for others”; that would have been perfect for this photo”, Rama writes in X.
We remember that with his resignation from office two days ago, Dimitar Kovachevski opened the way for the establishment of the North Macedonian technical government, whose task will be to prepare for parliamentary elections held on May 8th of this year.
The task passes to Talat Xhaferi, who thus becomes the country's first Albanian prime minister. Xhaferi, however, who is expected to be voted at the head of the Macedonian executive no later than January 28th, will have full competencies.
Naser Ziberi, the candidate for prime minister from the ranks of the Democratic Union for Integration in the 2020 parliamentary elections, said it would have been better for DUI to reconcile with a VMRO DPMNE proposal to annul the technical government in the last 100 days of executive work, as in that way, it would have opened the way for obtaining a political prime minister, or with full competence.
