Basha had written how Kosovo drivers once were forced to hide state symbols on billboards when passing through Serbia and as Serbian license drivers moved freely through Kosovo, while on January 1st, 2024 the opposite is happening, where drivers from Serbia place stickers while Kosovars circulate with RKS through Serbia.
However, this party by MP Basha has marred Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who has announced that Kosovo has made a decision to allow Serbia's billboard cars to circulate freely through Kosovo as reciprocity signs.
At the government's last meeting for 2023, held on December 27th, I requested reports concerning implementation of the decision by Serbia's authorities to allow free movement of license plates RKS on Serbia's territory from January 1st, 2024. From our police report, which has monitored everything very carefully, we have reported full application, and there have been no incidents or obstacles. So, based on the principle of reciprocity as a promise of regulating the relations of independent states last night, we made decisions that allow the vehicles coming from the other side of Serbia's license plate. This decision of ours begins to be applied to published in the Official Journal”, Kurti announced today.
