Lawyer Jevdet Smakqi says it is unwise to find witnesses who testify that Daaj has been a member of KLA.
Smakqi, at RTV Dukagjini, in the case of Hasan Dajaj, who has been detained in Serbia, has said he has been assigned the detention measure for a month, and that they are in the procedure phase where he will file a complaint.
“I have asked to be sure today to confirm whether they have handed over the complaint or not, but so far we have no confirmation because we are in a situation that we consider to be politically banned, as a member of the Kosovo Liberation Army, and that is banned from free movement under suspicion of war crimes”, Smacqi has said.
The lawyer has said Dajaj has never been suspected of criminal acts either in Kosovo or outside Kosovo.
Serbia's “Procurory has incorrectly not identified it as the person you're looking for, because Dajaj was 19 years old at the time and there's probably no witness, except for the fabrications, who could identify a 19-year-old who already has nearly 50-x1>, Smakqi said.
According to the lawyer, this is an actual mistake Serbia's prosecution is making.
This has been and is an actual mistake that Serbia's prosecution is making because it's completely wrong to arrest Hasan Dalaj”, Smaqi has added.
On the other hand, Smakqi has stressed that diplomatic pressure can free former Kosovo Liberation Army member Hasan Daj.
