The news has revealed the spokesman for the Constitutional Court in Prizren, Marcel Lekaj.

Lekaj disclosed that the Court has decided that suspects to continue detention for another month, until February 4th, 2024.

Taking into account the material evidence collected to this investigative stage, which argues the suspicion that the three (3) defendants have committed the criminal work for which they are suspected, the Court has estimated that continuing custody is necessary in order to secure suspects in investigative procedure, because with their release in freedom there is a danger of escaping, with the aim of avoiding criminal responsibility.“, said in response to Insider.

On the other hand, the court has estimated that continuing detention at this stage is necessary, given the heavy burden of criminal acts suspected of, the social risk of presenting criminal acts of narcotics, so with the release of defendants there is the risk of repeating similar criminal acts on the part of defendants.
