She has blamed Kosovo for failing to implement the 2013 Brussels Agreement.
According to her, Kosovo is rewarded despite “making flagrant disregard for international community norms”.
She even says such a sale of antitanks would jeopardise the destabilisation of the Western Balkans.
The State Department's Agreement on sending Yavelin missiles to Kosovo is highly stimulating, especially while tensions have already increased in the Western Balkans. This decision only sheds fuel on the fire and makes a conflict more likely to erupt. Furthermore, this decision rewards Kosovo as it continues to ignore earlier international commitments, such as those agreed with the 2013 Brussels Agreement. That is why I presented the support of the 2013 Brussels Agreement act to hold Kosovo responsible for failing to comply with its international agreement. The US should not continue arming and strengthening Kurti's flagrant disregard for international norms”.
“We know that sending additional weapons to Kosovo will not lead to peace. Instead, Serbia and Kosovo achieved progress through diplomacy to reach a stable, secure and prosperous region of the Western Balkans. That's why I'll present a joint normalisation resolution under the Weapons Export Control Act once Congress officially announces this sale. I call on Congress to quickly approve this resolution and also call on the president to change course”, she has declared. /Gazza Express
