A passenger plane lost part of his body in the air, forcing him to make an emergency landing in the American state of Oregon.
Boeing 737 Max 9 of Alaska Airlines returned to Portland, 35 minutes after flying to California after a part fell, including a window.
Alaska said 177 passengers and crew were on board, and that “sat safely”, reports Bubc.
The airline said it would stop “temporarily” all of its 65 planes 737 Max 9 to perform inspections.
Boeing said he was aware of the incident and “is working to collect more” information.
The United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority told the BBC that it is “building the situation”.
Announcing the ban on 65 planes, Alaska Airlines CEO Ben Minicucci said that “each plane will be back in service only after complete maintenance and security inspections” are completed.
According to the social media photo of the outside of the plane, the affected area was behind the arm and engines.
Otherwise, the National Transport Safety Board (NTSB) confirmed it is investigating the incident.
