Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi has said that Kosovo citizens will already be able to travel visa-free even to Spain.
He referred to the Directorate General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Union ( DG Home reported this.
Good news continues. To our citizens and the state. DG Home has announced that Spain already recognises the passports of the Republic of Kosovo. So we can travel without visas and towards this country. As the visa-free movement began on January 1st, Spain is a destination to be added to the Schengen area countries where we can travel through liberalisation, and where the obstacle earlier was to ignore our passport. We go on to bring other good news, which positively affects our citizens”, has written Bislimi on Facebook.
Spain has been Schengen's only country in the area that has refused to allow Kosovo citizens to enter its territory because of non-recognition of the passport.
