Bislim meets Hasani: Albania willing to back Kosovo for membership in international organisations

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi has met with Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani.

During the meeting, Bislimi highlighted intergovernmental co-operation between the two countries, which, according to him, has recognised full and effective implementation of almost all agreements reached in the mandate of the current government.

He said already implemented agreements have contributed positively to education, culture, health, infrastructure and productive cross-border co-operation.

“Minister Hasani attached to this charter by stressing the intensifying of trade volume between Kosovo and Albania, which has increased for 100m euros only last year”.

“further discussed common challenges where we can co-operate even more, such as European integration, but also in the area of security and co-ordination for the preservation of the rights of Albanians in the region, and in particular in the Presevo Valley, given the discrimination facing Albanians”, it is said at the government's announcement, broadcast Klankosova.tv.

It becomes known that at the meeting, Kosovo's membership was also discussed in international organisations where Hasani expressed readiness to support Kosovo in this regard.
