LDK MP Hykmete Bajrami has accused Finance Minister Iron Murati of manipulating percentages when presenting “government achievements”.

She said the percentage was using to “include failures” and criticised the way the budget is spent.

“Does Hekuran know that the inability to spend a planned budget is not a achievement he can boast of but is described as a failure, lack of vision and mismanagement symptoms? ”, wrote Bajrami until he even distributed the posts of Murat where he presented these figures.

Hecurran has proudly tried to show us that subsidies and transfers in 2023 have increased by just 1%, but the absolute amount tells us something else. Until 2022 this government spent 1 billion and 65 million euros on subsidies and transfers, or 40% of total budgets, this year for subsidies and transfers have spent 1 billion and 75 million euros, or 36% of the budget. Valid to note that at the same time that this government spends nearly half of its budget on subsidies, poverty in our country is on the rise, according to The UNDP. Indeed achievement to be proud of”, Bajrami added.

When percentages Post to Hide Failures

Iron Murati manipulated again with percentage-shaped numbers. For him, interpreting actual figures instead of showing the real situation becomes an instrument to manipulate the militant eye, while reality is clearly visible to those who want to see. In fact, anyone living in Kosovo knows that infrastructural development of the state has been overlooked by a government that is ending its four-year term only with the inauguration of Staradran's small bridge and with the construction of four nests by 160 promised.

Iron Murati has said that budget expenditures for 2023 have increased by 13% year-on-year, but it would be more likely to show that these expenditures, including the charity distributed at the end of the year, amount to a total of 2.966 billion euros, or exactly 342m euros, with less than the planned budget (3,238 m).

Next, he has said that capital expenditures have increased by 32% compared to 2022 and, if that is correct, that 557m euros or 262m euros were spent in total, less than the planned budget (819 mil.euro).

Does Ironus know that the inability to spend a planned budget is not the achievement he can boast of but is described as failure, lack of vision and symptom of mismanagement?

Salaries and additions have increased for 111m euros, and according to him, salaries in the public sector have increased by 17%. But the average here still doesn't tell the reality because as long as hekuran's salary has increased for 450 euros last year, there are other categories that had a pay cut, and there are those whose salaries have not moved since 2016. So it's good that Iron knows that when he's in his ass doesn't mean others get their teeth drunk.

While goods and services have said there is also an increase of 17%, it has said 17% of 337 million is less than 17% of 653 million. Only geniuses in the government Kurti can decipher it. So for goods and services in the year we left behind, 394 million euros have been spent, and this growth has largely gone to government luxury because we have had hospitals without drugs and police without equipment throughout the year.

And as cherry on cake, Iron has proudly tried to tell us that subsidies and transfers in 2023 have increased by just 1%, but the absolute sum tells us something else. Until 2022 this government spent 1 billion and 65 million euros on subsidies and transfers, or 40% of the total budget, this year for subsidies and transfers have spent 1 billion and 75 million euros, or 36% of the budget. Valid to note that at the same time that this government spends nearly half of its budget on subsidies, poverty in our country is on the rise, according to The UNDP. Really great achievement.

And the biggest surprise in Iron figures is this: The government Kurti II for nine months of 2023 has spent 263m euros, while in the last quarter alone, 294m euros have been spent.

How so?

If we want to go short and let's ignore absurdities like this above, the figures that Iron Murati is prideing in in fact, only that it's best shown the failure of this government. Let us not forget that we are on January 9, 2024, while the government Kurti II received its mandate on March 22, 2021.
