Long - armed equipment by patrol officers is considered to affect criminal cases

A long arms contingent arrived Friday in the country, which the Minister of Internal Affairs announced are dedicated to the Kosovo Police.

The retired Colonel, Nundman Sylejmani, says the lack of such modern weapons has caused police officials on the ground difficult.

The former Minister of Internal Affairs, Salaam Shkodra, says the device with long arms for police will directly affect the reduction of crime across the country.

As he adds that in front of citizens, the view of long-gun police officials will offer them greater security.

During the past year, there had been several cases when patrol officers had faced a number of robbers with whom they had even exchanged shootings.
