Ahmeti: We need Kosovo-Serbia reconciliation for a calm, peaceful Balkans

Democratic Union for Integration in Northern Macedonia Chairman Ali Ahmeti has said that without reconciliation between Kosovo and Serbia there will be no calm and peaceful Balkans.

For the Balkans to be calm and at lasting peace, they are interested in all of our strategic partners, who have also helped us get the Balkans into permanent and historical flows to install peace and future. He has said that Northern Macedonia as a NATO member wants to become part of the EU and wants to have a clean Balkans. “And to come to the clean Balkans, we need reconciliation. You know how the reconciliation process has begun between France, Germany and Italy. The initiative was taken by coal and steel corporations, here it began, but in the substance it wasn't for corporations to unite, but for the substance it was reconciliation. Without reconciliation, any other agreement to be made is not sustainable, destined for failure. Albanians and Serbs must agree, or decide whether to fight”, Has Ahmet added.

He has said Albanians should be smart in this period and trust international factors. “We must be smart enough to give elderly people space in our case are Washington, Brussels and NATO, because the US and NATO without Security Council decision are listed on our side and bombed Serbia.
