Renowned Kosovo writer and poet, Adem Gashi, has died today.

Who is Adam Gashi?

Born in 18. X. 1953 in Necoc, Glogoci

Initial school in Necoc and Komoran

Normal School in Pristina

Studies on Literature and Albanian at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Pristina, where he has attended postgraduate studies, but has been forced to stop because of his imprisonment in 1982.

In 1973 work as an educator at the village school in Necoc.

In 1977 it is employed at Pristina Radio Television.

In 1996, Enver Maloku and she work in the editorial work of ORA magazine, where she publishes a series of political essayistics and literary views.

In 2002, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports's top political adviser is appointed.

In 2006, the Director of the Office for Communication is appointed to the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

* Marked works (*) have been awarded national awards as best books of the year at the Kosovo Writers' League, the Ministry of Culture of Kosovo, the International Book Fair, Fier 2014. The impossible return, Lady”, has been awarded two awards. The last “Days without a thing” (2017) was awarded the Book Fair Award, Pristina 2017, announcing the best book of the year in the field of poetry.

From 1980 to 1990 is the laureates of about 50 awards of literary competitions and magazines: Renaissance, New Life, Voice and New World.

It has edited over 100 titles of Albanian authors: poetry, novels, studies and essays and monographs. It's a song writer from which over 130 of these have become songs.

It has prepared and published two poetic volumes of the slain poet Fazli Greicevci, a poetic volume of the late poet, Tahir Descu and a poetic selection with avanestinian motives, “Pikoi blood apple” (2004).

It was introduced in ten anthology of Albanian lyricism.

In Foreign Languages It was presented with poetic cycles and landscapes in Romanian, Serbian, German and English (Revista “Dalje” ) Sarajevo, 1982; magazine “Brec”, 8-9, Ljubljana 1990; “Am Erker”, Zeitschrift brushertur, No. 57, 2008; “Albnische HEFTE” 1/2014; “T H E ANGRY CLOUD”, (An Anthology of Albian stories from Yugoslavia), Albanian translator John Hodgson.
