Abraham: This year, municipalities will be received over 28m euros unjustly

Over the past few years, co-operation between the local and central levels has been extremely high.

The Kosovo Communists association even this year has called for co-operation between the local and central levels to be empowered.

Kosovo Communist Association Executive Director Saban Ibrahimi says of Kosova Preris that this year more than 28m euros will be taken unjustly, because collective contracts are signed from the central level, while implementation is becoming a burden to municipalities by taking away financial means.

He also says that if municipalities pardoned property taxing many projects for capital investments at the local level, ahead of the 2023 budget, they would not be implemented.

He also says the central level should take into account any action that affects municipal budgets and consults and co-ordinates with the local level, rather than making arbitrary decisions as it has in the past.
