360 thousand euros for the Serbian List, Miftaraj Ramadani: Decision cannot be abolished arbitraryly

Parting 360 thousand euros for the Serbian List, just months after the terrorist attack on Zvecan Bay, has sparked many reactions to Kosovo public opinion. Security expert, sir. Burim Ramadani is one of the most vocal seeking to abolish such a decision. But, director of the Kosovar Institute for Justice, Ehat Miftaraj, writes that [...]
Kosovar Institute for Justice Director Ehat Miftaraj says neither The CEC and the presidency cannot arbitrately stop financing a political party represented in the Kosovo Assembly.
“The funding of political parties is regulated by law. The division of financial means for political parties is based on the political power of any political party based on the number of deputies in the Kosovo Assembly. The CEC and the presidency cannot exactly prevent financing or sharing of financial resources for any political party represented in the Kosovo Assembly”, writes Miftaraj today, follows Periscope.
He seems to mean Mr. Burim Ramadani, speaking of some experts who are looking for this.
The “understand political parties campaigning with Serbian List, but I don't understand some independent experts who maintain stances that are out of the constitutional and legal order of Kosovo.
The CEC can stop funding a political party only if with the court's ruling, the same political party is declared anti-unconstitutional and excluded from the Kosovo Assembly through a judicial process. As long as we don't have a judicial decision to declare the political party against constitutionality, even voices to prevent party financing from the CEC shouldn't be taken very seriously”, writes Miftaraj.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ramadani, Since the news has been heard about the separation of 360 thousand euros for the Serbian List by the CEC, it is constantly demanding that this decision be broken.
Ramadani, in one of the last messages on this subject, wrote yesterday:
Presidents, act this week!
President Vjosa Osmani Sadriu must take institutional and constitutional steps this week in relation to the decision she gave 360,000 euros to the Serbian List.
Exactly, this decision will be abolished and the responsibility for this scandal addressed correctly!
Integrity and public trust in state institutions must be restored.
Less than four months after the terrorist attack in Banjska, for which the Kosovo government held Serbia and the Serbian List responsible, the same organisation was awarded 360 thousand euros.
Everything has changed after the attack on Banjska or was this not the official position of Kosovo institutions leaders?
Days ago, he also published a video conference on this subject that you can hear below. /Periscope.
