After the 18-year-old was killed, MPs demand that mental health of children and teenagers be given attention to in schools

Members of the Commission for Health and Social Goodness have asked the responsible institutions to deal with promoting mental health of children and teenagers in schools, after the 18-year-old Lulzim Fejzullahu of Podujevo, who was previously hit by suspected persons and then beaten to death [...]
The chairman of this commission, Fatmire Kolcaku, said she proposes that as the Commission, they organise a joint table with the ministerial ministries, where they will be discussed in terms of mental health and what is the number of psychologists in schools.
She said the latest event should upset all society and MPs.
<x) It's very distressing to us because it's happened among our young people, which we would never want to see. I think that we as Commission propose a common table with justice and education ministers, jointly organize and discuss it because we cover the welfare and social work, mental health aspect, the presence of psychologists, what is their number, it requires a concern of all society and us as MP”, she said.
VV deputy Burim Meta said the year has started with macabre views, according to him, in this case it is seen that young people have serious mental health problems.
We're starting this year with macabre images happening in our country by criminal acts happening in our country. Still the most painful that's happening to our teenagers. If you look at these shocking images, we see that we have serious mental health problems”, he said.
LDK MP Armend Zemaj said where the case should not be silent, but must be lifted the most powerful voice and asked for responsibility by institutions for such cases.
I don't think it's too much to repeat because such cases are a concern. I don't think it should be silent. It should be the most powerful voice for all levels of general institutionality from parental education to general rule rule of law”, he said.
VV MP Haxhi Avdyli said the time has come for concrete steps to be taken on this issue, according to him, it should be worked to prevent these phenomena from starting with educational institutions.
It's not the first time that's happened, over and over the past few years, and we've spent it responding to social networks, someone writing a line, but it's time to take concrete steps in this direction. Why not start from this Commission that the task of this commission is to draft laws. We have to say the core of issues to deal with the prevention of these phenoms, and it is possible that these phenomena will be prevented, starting with the greatest work in education institutions. We can make any pressure or pressure on this sector to play a bigger role as well as in the sense of great education and control”, he said.
