Ukraine's forces in recent days have made apparent “progress against Russian troops south of the state, a White House spokesman said on September 1st.
White House spokesman for national security John Kirby told reporters that the United States has seen progress in the vicinity of the Zaporije region in the last 72 hours.
“They have achieved a success against the second Russian defence line”, Kirby said. He also acknowledged that anonymous “ ” have criticised Ukraine's counteroffensive, saying this “does not help”.
Any objective observer of this counteroffensive cannot deny that they have already made progress”, Kirby said.
Ukraine launched its counteroffensive to Russian forces in the south and east in June.
The Ukrainian Army has been claiming to have succeeded in breaking Russian defence lines between the villages of Robotnet and Verbove in the Zaporizja region and Western military analysts have confirmed these progress.
The Ukrainian Army said earlier that its counteroffensiva is continuing east and south of the state, as Russia's unprohibited fight against Ukraine is in the eighteenth month.
