Public Services Director Ilir Musliu has said he will include rural capital countries in Urban trafficking. All of this, according to him, will be done thanks to the 400,000-euro grant from the EURZh
In an interview for Online Economics, Musliu has said the total grant won by the EBRD totals 600 thousand euros, while 200 thousand will go into consultancy for Urban Traffic.
We've also won a 600-euro grant from the EBRD. 200 thousand will go into consultancy for Urban Traffic, another 400,000 for the mobile sector under the Public Services Directorate to make the restructuring of lines and the addition of new lines. The peripheral and rural areas are almost few involved in public transport, so it is thought that with this consultation, as soon as this increase of new lines becomes, the entire capital will be involved in public transport”, Musliu said.
In the first six months of this year, Musliu has said that a lot of work has been done. He has mentioned expanding public lighting and maintenance of roads. For both, Musliu says he has missed Pristina.
I actually say that everything you see in the capital is connected one way or another to the Public Services Directorate. The daily jobs we do are many, which if they stop then can be observed. If road maintenance stops every day that's done, then you can make a difference without it immediately. While the biggest projects we have implemented within this first six-month, it connects with signalling and signalling that have been done a fantastic job, at the same time we have implemented the public lighting maintenance project and expansion, both very important for the fact that, in a very long time, the capital has been missing”, Musliu said.
The Public Services Director has stated that when he comes to the helm, there have been hundreds of requests for expansion of public lighting.
It says that of 172 requests, more than 100 have been completed.
When I took office, I inherited about 172 requests to expand public lighting. In the first six months, some 100 streets in the capital have been first lit. We're still going on, so let's not forget about the implementation for the first time, the expansion of public lighting in smart format. We're thinking next year on through quality and I think we deserve such enlightenment. In terms of furniture, it's worked too hard. We have signed the contract with the EBRD for loans worth 10m euros for the purchase of new buses”, Musliu says.
