Russian authorities have not confirmed or commented on the announcement.
On Friday, Britain's Defence Ministry confirmed that a missile attack targeting the Russian Navy's Black Sea centre in Crime earlier this week could have seriously damaged parts of the facility.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to visit Washington next week, while Congress is continuing debates on a new $21 billion aid to Ukraine. Mr. Zelensky is expected to meet with President Beden at the White House after the UN General Assembly in New York. / VOA/
