Subvention of Energy Efficiency Measures FKEE explains procedures for successful applications

Over two thousand families have applied for subvention of energy efficiency measures (EE) in their homes, within the framework of the “Implementation of the Energy Efficiency Measures for the Individual Homes of Banim” project.

The Kosovo Fund for Efficience of Energy (FKEE) is in the process of verifying applications, until some citizens have already accepted answers if the application was accepted.

The FKEE public communications official, Kojunhi Start, has told Online Economics procedures to be followed by citizens who have received approval of the Fund for subsidisation of their homes.

Konjuhi has said that all citizens who have received positive answers will accept a letter of pre-approvation at the email address with which they are registered on the e-Kosovo platform. So it is important that they check these addresses because they have seven days to sign the letter.

While, as she said, the reimbursements will take place after the work is performed and verified.

The “we accepted over 2 thousand applications in the public call we had open until August 20th. We are now in the process of verifying these applications. Citizens are already getting answers, either negative or positive”.

She added that the letter of preliminary approval should be signed and returned to FKEE, and that after that, beneficiaries can begin the works, which should be carried out within six months.

After the completion of the works, the Fund will also make their verification and if they are carried out according to the initial application, the distribution procedure will begin.

In cases where the answer is positive, citizens receive a pre-approvation letter in which all instructions on how to keep going and are directed to the start of operations”.

When they return pre-approvation papers, they are open to start the work and they have six months to complete these works. The moment they do the work, we call the Fund and we go out to verify the work to see if it was carried out, as was the initial application, as was the pre-approvation given, and then the dissemination procedure” began, said no.

Konjuhi stressed that at this stage it is important that all citizens control email addresses.

At this stage it is very important for all citizens to check their emails with which they are registered on the e-Kosovo platform, because they are our contact points. We send the answers about their applications on these emails and it's very important that citizens who applied with the audience report control in order not to lose the deadlines which are under way for the outcome of the” process, she told EO.

She added that citizens from letter admission have seven days to return it to FKEE.

“The citizens whose application has been accepted receive a pre-approvatory letter, these have seven days for this letter of first approval to be returned to the Kosovo Energy Efficiency fund signed on their part. Then in three days, you get confirmation that can begin the work on the arrangements that have been applied. All citizens who accept pre-advancing papers also accept some documents with instructions that they have to act. But it's important that citizens sign only the first letter of approval and send it back to us, and other documents are needed for performing the works”.

For this project, which is supported by the European Union, under the IPA-Pako Energy Support programme, arranged by the Government of Kosovo and implemented by the Kosovo Fund for Energy Efficiency (FKEE), there are a total of 10m euros.

Subvention will include the cost of external house isolation, changing windows and entry doors, as well as the isolation of the roof.

The FKEE will provide a 45% subsidy of the investment cost, limited to the amount of $5,500.
