EU spokesman Peter Stano has reiterated the harsh condemnation from the European Union for the terrible terrorist attack that took place against members of the Kosovo Police, stressing that all facts and details behind these terrorist attacks are still under way, and until the facts and culprits are clearly identified, they will refrain.

Stano questioned by journalists, has reiterated the EU sentence on terrorists who killed Kosovo police.

“The EU was very clear about expectations when it comes to dialogue. And also when it comes to the very, very tense and dangerous situation in northern Kosovo and recent developments, the EU just underscored the need to take urgent steps for the deespass. As for concrete events yesterday, again I do not need to repeat the harshest sentence, by the European Union for the terrible terrorist attack that took place against members of the Kosovo Police and what the high representative said in his statement and the calls he had with Prime Minister Kurti and Prime Minister Vuciq. But again, all this just underlines what the EU has said all the time, we have to find our way out of the constant crises and turn to normal solutions through dialogue, because the transition is urgently necessary and this was highlighted in a very painful way already yesterday and day, week and even months ago. So the EU was very clear when it was about expectations on the one hand and on the other, what they should do to contribute to the deespass and, finally, to a part of normal dialogue, when we shouldn't deal with dangerous crises, as it is now, when we can help the two countries move forward towards normalisation”, he said.

Stano reiterated that Kosovo and Serbia want to join the EU and that the only way is through dialogue.

“The EU is a facilitator of dialogue between them. Those two countries want to join the European Union eventually, their path towards the European Union passes through EU-attensible dialogue. The expectations, modalisations and attitudes of the European Union as facilitators have been formulated many times recently, very clearly in last week's declaration of 27 member states. There is nothing that can be added from here that was clearly said by the 27 member states in their message to both Serbia and Kosovo about how they should behave and what they should do to fulfill their strategic ambition and priority to enter the European Union one day”, he said.

Stano has been questioned tomorrow after yesterday's events, measures should be imposed against Serbia, given that the EU also publicly says Serbia controls the structures in the north and that the EU is very efficient to give Kosovo measures.

The investigations are still under way. It is still continuing to clarify all the facts and details behind these terrorist attacks, and until the facts and the culprits are clearly identified, we will refrain from commenting on the specific development yesterday, but as far as the second part of your question is concerned, the European Union has a very clear position, the measures imposed on Kosovo are not sanctions, as we are using the term sanctions in EU termology. No sanctions, no framework for restrictive measures. They're non-restrictive measures. It is the measures the EU took in response to the inability of one side to meet the expectations of decesing the situation. We said that at the beginning, the European Union was very clear from the beginning, including the 27 EU member states, that these measures are temporary and that they could be reduced in response to developments on the ground or increase. Currently they have applied to Kosovo, and the EU has had very clear whether member states see the reason for it will apply measures to Serbia”, he said.

Stano comment on whether Borell will soon have another meeting with the parties in Brussels.

- It's over. It is part of the dialogue he invites them to Brussels for high-level meetings when necessary”, he said.
