The head of Montenegro's government, Dritan Abazovic, has said he will grant the honoral passport of Montenegro, Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic.
Abazovic has said Djokovic “is a major fan of Montenegro”.
I generally think that sports helps us a lot to overcome some of the difficulties we have, political or economic, in a much easier way. My full support for people who are a global brand. They're not the brand of Serbia, nor of Montenegro, they're global brands, I think they have equal respect in the Philippines, in the US, in Africa and of course in the country where they come from”, it's Abazovic's reasoning.
Serbian tennis player Djokovic has sometimes had nationalist attitudes against the Republic of Kosovo.
