Serbia's government claims that a terrorist has been killed by Kosovo Police “after the same has surrendered [by raising his hands up]. In fact, Serbia's own president released this propaganda yesterday in an interview given to Serbia's public television.
Below, find government letter from Serbia sent EULEX
“You are directed at a very important requirement in terms of determining the circumstances of the deaths of three persons of Serbian nationalism who lost their lives in the tragic events of September 24, 2023, in the town of Banjska in northern Kosovo.
Given that we have been reported that the body autopsy will take place in the coming days and that until the completion of this document has not been carried out, we demand that the autopsy carried out in Pristina, an independent team of international legal medical experts, under which at least an expert delegated by the Serbian side, will take part.
Fulfilling this requirement is of vital importance to define with credibility and transparent the circumstances of suffering of persons of Serbian nationality, for whom there are fundamental doubts that they were brutally liquidated after they surrendered. That fact is particularly important in the case of the slain, Igor Milenkovic.
Therefore, in view of the scope of your jurisdiction, as well as the sensitivity of the circumstances in which death occurred, as well as the indicators shown that the lives of certain persons were taken at a close distance after the deprivation of freedom, and that by using snipers, we require that you act urgently on our request and ensure the transparency of the investigation into the circumstances in which death took place”, says in letter sent by government to EULEX
