US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, seems to have launched a new initiative, that of the Music Diplomacy.
That's since we leave him behind, unlike his usual politics, he chose another favorite device guitar, broadcasts clacosova.tv.
Following performances in the State Department's official waiting room from jazz icons, Herbie Hancock, Dave Grohl of Nirvana and famous Foo Fighters, and young pop Gayle singer Blinken himself took the stage, jokingly making sure he was going to be out of words.
Playing rhythmic guitars in a band and turning his voice usually soft into a deeper voice, Blinken offered an interpretation of “Hochie Coocie Man” from the legend of the blue Muddy Waters, with an audience of his subordinates at the State Department, cheersin.
American pop culture for decades has dominated most of the globe, though it has grown largely without government support.
The Global Music Diplomacy Initiative will bring a new generation tour, with plans to travel to 30 countries over the next year from a series of American acts.
As part of Blinken's new initiative, Hancock will travel to Jordan on the anniversary of a 1963 tour by jazz pianist Duke Elington. He will also make a first trip to his kind in Saudi Arabia, a strict Islamic state that has only recently begun to open for public music performances.
The initiative will also see American rappers going to Nigeria discussing using music to address the conflict.
