Sarrazin on TV21 commented on French President Emmanuel Macron's statement regarding visas for Kosovars. He stressed that this is not an option and it would be a big mistake because it would only remove Kosovars from the EU process.
The first “the Government of Kosovo should think whether it is really doing well and so many governments in the region and the EU think it is making a mistake. This is obviously something affecting the citizens of Kosovo... This is not good for Kosovo citizens and is a problem of course. As far as visa removal is concerned, you know there has been a statement by President Macron. I want to say clearly that this is not an option and it would be a big mistake, because it would just take Kosovars away from the EU process. And we say that January 1st, 2024 will be done as agreed and promised. If we say that Albin Kurti and Aleksandar Vuciq must fulfill the promises regarding corruption we will not become better if we do not fulfill our promises. The culture of not fulfilling promises and programmes that have been hired is a problem in the region”, he said.
Sarrazin, has declared that at the moment it seems to be a very bad situation in the north, on both sides.
They hope to reach the deal, not as big as it was in Ohrid. We will try to avoid this moment of confrontation and return to a path of decomposition as set out with the EU's plan to relax. There is no other way than to convince both leaders to walk this”, Manuel Sarrazin said.
He also talked about EU measures towards Kosovo, adding that these measures were messages of deportation.
And he said that what Kurt did in the case that led to the situation created in Zvecan was a big mistake.
