Minister for Communities and Kthim in the Government of Kosovo Nenad Rassic has talked about the event in northern Kosovo, which took place Sunday.
Rassic stressed that the night in the Leposavic Banjska has been quiet, despite the tensioning event that occurred yesterday.
No one knows what might happen next. Yesterday, there was a kind of paramilitary formation that acted in a way that, first of all, in my opinion is absolutely abnormal and that there's a police murder and then that the monastery and its surroundings are used for further actions, and I believe that this never happens to us Serb believers. All of this makes it even more absurd. It is certain that the investigations for the authors will continue, you know there were about thirty of these”, Rassic said and added that most Serbs live in the south, and many of them fear the situation could escalate.
Rassic stressed that Serbian terrorists who killed Officer Africa Bulnjak are suspected of being paid.
“is believed to have been paid for this, I don't know who organised it, but I'm sure if it did, I'm sure that the law authorities in Serbia would know”, he said.
According to Rassic, they are suspected to have participated in training by military police and security facilities in Serbia.
In Kosovo it has been declared a day of mourning, the decision has been taken by President Vjosa Osmani in respect for police killed in nearby Banjska.
President Osmani, in accordance with the constitution, has decided that Monday 25 September will be proclaimed a national mourning day in honour of police African Bunnjak, killed in northern Kosovo.
