“ (Kosovo Government Prime Minister) Albin Kurti in my opinion is pacifist and intellectual”, Raspi told Nova.rs.
Asked how realistic it is for KFOR to take over security in northern Kosovo, Rassic said KFOR's mandate says its members guard external borders, and in terms of internal security, it is unrealistic to expect a soldier from Finland, Turkey, Sweden, Britain or anyone else.
And they need institutions that know people, and that's what the police do. I think it is almost impossible for KFOR to protect that internal security,” said Rassic.
On September 24th, a member of the Kosovo Police was killed when armed persons -- about 30 Sosh -- attacked police units in the village of Banjsk é, the Serb-run residential area in the north.
In the subsequent clashes between the armed group and the rule forces, three terrorists were killed and six people allegedly linked to them were arrested, some of whom were previously released.
Kosovo police after taking control of the monastery in the village of Banjska found a large quantity of arms and military vehicles among them, including vehicles with KFOR inscriptions.
The attack was named a terrorist act by Kosovo institutions and was also condemned by Western diplomats.
