Rama has commented on Kurti's accusations made against Kosovo dialogue mediators Serbia, Josep Borrell as senior EU official, and Miroslav Lajcak, as a minister for dialogue.
But Rama says he does not suspect Kurti is eager to do his best for Kosovo, but says the great will sometimes is not enough.
” are things that leave you without text and are things that harm even more what is claimed to be trying to repair, because raising a conspiracy theory for a co-operation that you discovered between Serbia and the EU's special envoy is not something recommended to do. I repeat, I don't doubt Albin's great and good wishes to do the best for Kosovo, but the craving and goodwill are never enough. Strategic clarity is needed to achieve the goal, which I don't see”, Rama Real Story said in ABC News.
Part of Rama's interview:
In fact, Prime Minister Albin Kurti's initial reaction was unprecedented and unique, I don't remember such a similar case, that a senior Kosovo representative directly accuses the EU representative and says he has sent official complaints to Prime Minister Scholz and President Macron, I believe here we are at another level of confrontation, right?
There are things that leave you without text, and there are things that are even more damaging to what is claimed to be trying to repair, because to establish a conspiracy theory for a co-operation that you discovered between Serbia and the special envoy of the entire EU is not advisable to do. I repeat, I don't doubt Albin's great and good wishes to do the best for Kosovo, but the craving and goodwill are never enough. It takes strategic clarity to achieve the goal, which I don't see.
In fact, it seems a little paradoxically Albania's president, so we're here at the entire world hall, and unable to influence Pristina. You think there's something that can be corrected?
We do not want to influence Pristina, as in Pristina are the authorities that stem from the will of the people of Kosovo and are those who have the responsibility to lead Kosovo and choose the way to a goal, which we share. We want the same thing, the question is that we think that the way they have chosen is the way that does not lead to that common goal, but rather leads to a conflict course with the United States, with the EU, so with friends, with partners instead of leading to realising this common goal, that is sad, but I have faith that this is temporary.
The temporary one doesn't know what you're referring to, but what I found is, Mr. Prime Minister, how modestly we can see as journalists is that, while what you say is the line of allies, is not the line of Prime Minister Kurti at least in strategy, but on the other hand, his movements are giving him additional political credits in Pristina, I change and look at the fact that maybe there's a strong crack between what public opinion is looking for in Kosovo and what the West requires?
It's the easiest thing to draw public opinion after yourself, taking the pose, the controversy and the hostility towards those who are identified as the source of a major evil that has happened to Kosovo in the past not too distant, but the question here is what does this bring? Brings more votes to Kosovo? Maybe. Bring those votes for a long time? I do not believe, but it is certain that it does not bring the desired outcome for Kosovo, which is the outcome of a normalisation process and then the release of all recognitions in the first place within EU countries. Because this is also the goal of the French German plan and this should be the greatest possible achievement, which would be a defacto recognition of Serbia as well, whether or not you would formally recognise Serbia Kosovo, it remained insignificant, Kosovo would gain its seat here, rid itself of the burden of this conflict to continue the EU integration process, and so on. And the reason the EU insists on this normalisation process is because they want to integrate Kosovo through the entire establishment of international organisation and the EU, which will never happen if Kosovo does not solve this problem.
You think Serbia is taking advantage of this situation? I heard Vucic said he'd go to Gracanica without permission, reacts Svecla, and says if he comes without permission he'll be arrested. It's not that Serbs are angels, they're using this situation.
That is neither discussed, nor discussed that Serbia sees its own interests, does not see our interests. And what's unfortunate is that Pristina's approach is helping Serbia, it's not helping Kosovo because it's victimising Serbia in the eyes of the entire international community and in the eyes of our friends and partners, if it shuts down our friends and partners by turning Serbia into an actor who plays the role of someone who is prevented from doing what in fact if Kosovo was proactive and positive in dialogue, Serbia would probably not, but would be exposed and take all the pressure. While Serbia thus plays a theatre that gives it the opportunity to play, Pristina's short light policy.
