The money, wrapped in tin sheets, was discovered in the cab of the driver's vehicle in Haruch in Esex, writes Skynews, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
British police were conducting routine checks when they noticed the truck going in the wrong direction, perhaps in an attempt to avoid detection.
The driver, 28-year-old Marius Raczynski, was arrested on suspicion of money laundering after police found his briefcase in his cabin.
