“Svecla lied that Milan Radoic was laid down at the military hospital in Belgrade”, Petkovic said through a statement on September 27th.

A day earlier, Minister Svechla during an interview for Euronews Albania stated that Radoicicicq é that he said was a leader and participants in the September 24th attack on Kosovo Police in Zvecan Banjska “is most likely at the hospital at the military hospital in Belgrade”.

Radociq is deputy chairman of the Serbian List, the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo to enjoy official Belgrade's support.

On September 26th, Svecla published a video recording with fear, which said it featured armed Radociqik standing at the monastery in Banjska with a group of armed men dressed in military uniforms.

In Serbia, only Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic has commented on these claims, saying that video “appears to have not been recorded on the day the attack on the north of Kosovo.

“I have no information whether [Radoiciqi] is in that video or not, I really don't know”, Daciq told Radio Television of Serbia on 26 September.

Kosovo police were attacked by a masked and armed group, as rule forces were trying to remove barricades that were located on a road in the village of Banjscan of Zvecan one of four municipalities in the north, inhabited by Serb majority.

The armed group later fled to the Banjska monastery, where they fought police all Sunday.

One Kosovo policeman and three suspected attackers were killed in the attacks.

Currently, four people are under arrest for attacks in the north. To three of them, justice authorities have pronounced a month-long detention measure.

Kosovo has made Serbia responsible for the attack, while official Belgrade has made Kosovo Serbs responsible.

The United States and the European Union have strongly condemned the attack and have demanded that those responsible face justice. / REL/
